His real name was Abdullah bin Abi Quhafah, but he became known as <em>As-Siddiq<\/em>, meaning <em>The Truthful<\/em>, due to his unwavering faith and willingness to accept the truth without hesitation. He was the <strong>first adult man to embrace Islam<\/strong>, marking the beginning of a lifelong dedication to the message of Allah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before Islam, Abu Bakr was already recognized for his honesty, intelligence, and gentle character. He was a respected merchant in Makkah, trusted by the people for his fairness and kindness. His deep friendship with the Prophet \ufdfa was rooted in sincerity and loyalty, which later grew into the strongest companionship in the history of Islam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abu Bakr played a crucial role in supporting the early Muslim community. He used his wealth to free enslaved Muslims who were being tortured for their faith, including Bilal ibn Rabah (r.a). His faith was so pure that during the <strong>Hijrah (Migration) to Madinah<\/strong>, he was chosen by the Prophet \ufdfa to accompany him. Together, they hid in the Cave of Thawr, a moment recorded in the Qur\u2019an as a symbol of trust and divine protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the passing of Prophet Muhammad \ufdfa, Abu Bakr was chosen as the <strong>first Caliph<\/strong> of Islam. His leadership was marked by wisdom, firmness, and compassion. He unified the Muslim community at a critical time, defended the religion from false claims, and initiated the preservation of the <strong>Qur\u2019an<\/strong> in a compiled manuscript, ensuring its preservation for all generations to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abu Bakr (r.a) passed away at the age of 63, the same age as the Prophet \ufdfa, and he was buried <strong>beside the Prophet<\/strong> in Madinah. His life remains a timeless example of loyalty, humility, courage, and devotion to Allah.
